We know this place because we've lived it.
ADHD and autism. Unrecognised, unsupported, trying to function in a world that was never built with people like us in mind. We lost ourselves completely before we found our way back.
We are also parents of neurodivergent children. We've sat in those meetings, fought for the right support, and watched our kids struggle in spaces that weren't made for them. This isn't just our work - it's our life.
We are neurodivergent students who struggled in school and at university - and found our way through. We know what it's like to be the one who doesn't fit, who needs something different, who has to fight to be understood. And we came out the other side.
We didn't have people like us to guide us. We had to piece things together through years of training, research, therapy, support groups, books, and lived experience.
Today, that journey informs the way we work with clients. We've completed a full counselling pathway - from Level 2 through to BSc (Hons) in Counselling Skills and Therapeutic Communication - which included trauma and grief training - guided by the BACP Ethical Framework - and is currently pursuing a Master's in the same field - alongside mentor training and specialist training in safeguarding, mental health first aid, and suicide prevention. All of it built on the perspective of people who have walked this path and know what it actually feels like from the inside.
